My friend told me that Neil Armstrong was an atheist until he went into space and landed on the moon. When he saw the moon and space, he changed his mind and said that he "couldn't believe that anything other than god could've made that"... is this true??? Did this really happen??

Here's a link to a review of his autobiography which specifically states that one of the reasons he wrote the book was to dispel some of the myths about him, including that he was an atheist and that he had converted to Islam.

So, no.

"A myth widespread in Muslim countries is that Armstrong (and Aldrin) converted to Islam after their flight. While on the moon they heard a strange singing voice that they discovered was the adhan. In March 1983, the United States Department of State was forced to release a press statement for embassies and consulates in Muslim countries that attempted to dispel the myth noting that Armstrong had not moved to the country of Lebanon, nor converted to Islam."

The moon touchdown became actual. And as for the flag waving, in spite of the indisputable fact that it is authentic there is no wind to attempt this on the moon, they were waiting to attain that result by technique of utilising wires. Frankly, i do not see what the authorities stands to attain by technique of fabricating a narrative about a visit to the moon. they could actual launch yet another moon challenge. the difficulty looks that NASA's funding has been reduce so heavily in pick of all this "position of start safe practices" garbage that the first step may be to furnish NASA a higher funds to artwork with. in spite of the indisputable fact that it type of sounds like human beings doesn't care, and that that they'd see taking money faraway from the shell that u.s. has outfitted round itself to keep each and everything unAmerican out as letting down their preserve and being liable to better "terrorists". There doesn't be each and each and every of the buzz about it like there became in 1969. it type of feels we've forgotten a thanks to ask your self about a international previous our personal.
