Sure, its just that most folks don't understand what being "perfect" means. Perfection, as used in the Bible, doesn't mean flawless. In Proverbs Solomon said that a perfect person fell seven times. Doesn't sound like they were flawless to me. Sounds like they fell seven times. But in Jewish scripture numbers had meaning. Seven meant perfection, but not in the sense of being flawless. It meant perfection in the sense of completeness. So when Solomon said that a perfect person fell SEVEN times what he was really saying was that they got up when they fell, and kept getting up as often as they needed to. This didn't make them flawless, this made them complete. Want to be perfect the way Jesus meant it when he said it? Simple ... Just keep getting up when you fall. Never give up. This makes you complete, and thereby ... Perfect. Simple. But simple ought never be confused with easy. ;-) ~ Peace & Blessings ~

I think you're referring to Matthew 5:48: Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

If you read all of Chapter 5, you'll see that it is the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus talked about how to treat others, how to live life simply, fully, and in favor with God, etc. It says in the Bible that we've all sinned and we've all fallen short of the glory of God. That means we can't be perfect in the sense of being sinless. My personal interpretation of Matthew 5:48 is that "perfect" means more like "completeness" or "a real love that includes everyone."

We are not perfect because we were born into sin. The only person who walked on this earth is Jesus Christ. We cannot do that. That is why God gave His only Son to die for our sins so that we may be saved. We will be perfect when we are with God in Heaven. I await that day to dwell in Heaven forever with my precious Lord! May the Lord bless you and yours!

No one can live a perfect life. There is no such thing.
Even if a person were to follow and obey all the commandments, and the scriptures to the most minuscule of detail. There would be someone out there, with a different interpretation of the things you believed to be just.

No only one is perfect and that is Jesus Christ, but we do need to follow the commandments and repent and seek forgiveness of our sins and then turn from sin
