It appears that once questions are left unresolved for a bit, they go into voting. It also appears that you could vote for your own questions without the hassle of additional accounts. I don't think many people bother voting at all anyway. At least, all the ones I've voted for seem to instantly become the "best answer."
Attempting the manipulate yahoo answers in any way is, of course counter to the whole concept of the site... but that's not my problem.

yeah.. open two accounts ask questions from one and give answers from other and choose that account's answer as the best answer.. keep on doing this and u will earn a lot of points.
