It has been 4 months since my purchase of an AS IS truck. It has a blown motor and an estimated $1200 to repair. No warranty, and I know Im out of luck. What I would like is some help of what things I can do or say to get the dealer to help with fees. GOODWILL? or is there any recission laws that can help me? The motor only had 65k miles and is a 98' mechanic is giving a statement that it has been worked on extensivly and has a lot of aftermarket parts. Not a lemon, and carfax was not done. I know Im screwed but Im looking for a "professional" way to approach the dealer for help. Anyone have any smart suggestions?

mechanics statement is from my mechanic NOW as he is tearing down motor to give diagnosis...not from the dealers mechanic at time of purchase
