I personally don't think you should go steady unless you really like the person and want to see how serious your relationship can become. But am I the only one that thinks this is a good idea? I'm more interested in women's opinions on this, because I already know what the guys will say.

if you are wondering, ask. Either you will break up, or you will get stronger. If you break up, you were just bringing on the inevitable.

It is always my assumption that unless we have had a conversation to the contrary, the person I am dating is dating other people. I also assume that they know that I am dating other people. If either of us wants that situation to change, then we need to have a conversation. Until that point, it is always open.

I feel very stongly about something. "DON'T EVER ASSUME ANYTHING" !!! You might be taking something the wrong way. If you are questioning something alway's come out and talk about it and be open and honest about it. Don't ever jump into a realationship. It's not long enough to get to know the other person. Take your time and don't get into a hurry. I believe in long realationship's. Ive been dating a guy for over 5 yrs. We love ea other very much and are still learning about ea other. Just be honest and truthful. Treat other's like you want to be treated...."WITH RESPECT". It work's ... believe me... Listen to what your heart tell's you.

I do unless it is stated otherwise. I wouldn't bother dating someone if they wanted to do date other people. Well, in that case, I guess I'm only interested in serious relationships!

no, you dont have an exclusive commitment from the first date. It has to be agreed upon by both people or somebody will get hurt. Dont have such expectations right away.

No it is not AssUmed.
That's what communication in a relationship is all about.
Tell her that she is all that you want in a woman and you don't want or need to date anyone else.
Ask her for a commitment to see only you in return.
And then trust her.

I wouldn't assume anything, but if I wanted him to be exclusive I would straight out ask him...."are we exclusive?".
Never guess....if you want to know an answer to a question...ask....just like you did here.
