you just seem lost right now, he doesnt cause the hurt and pain, just remember that, one day you will need him and he will be there for you.

I am sorry for your loss. You must be going through the type of pain and anguish to which few of us can relate. I can't tell you that I know how you feel - the closest I have come is when my 9-year-old step nephew was killed recently by an illegal alien with an axe - for no reason at all.
The reason terrible things like this happen is not because God doesn't care. It is because this world we live in today is the dominion of Satan, and will be until Jesus comes back. It is the devil that is responsible for evil and sickness in the world, not God. Heaven is the only place where there is no evil, no pain, no suffering, no sickness - and the three-year old of which you speak is there now.
I pray that with time you will find comfort in the joy that was brought to you by the child, and remember less the pain and suffering of the loss.

Not an uncommon feeling and tough to answer. I believe God doesnt put the high emphasis on this life like we do. This life is like a spoonful of water compared to the vast ocean that Heaven will be. God calls us to be home with him at different times, and I dont think any man could answer why this is. Your 3 year old is so happy right now Im positive about that and you may be reunited for eternity if you keep the faith. I don't know you but I do feel your deep, deep, pain, and I have already prayed for the Lord to heal your heart. I am so so sorry for your loss!
Ps: for the ones above that answered stupidly or were insenstitive you should feel deep shame and I believ God punishes this type of behavior. To Insult a grieving person with mockery is the most highest insult!

It sounds like you are dealing with a personal loss of some kind? If so, I'm truly sorry to hear it.
Regardless, your observation stands. People can say all the BS they want about sin, free will, Adam and Eve, talking donkeys or whatever, and it really doesn't change the fact that this sort of thing indicts the claims they make about an all knowing all loving all powerfull magic guy in the sky. Don't listen to the attempts to rationalize. Your anger will not subside until you realize god is nothing but an ancient myth.

hey sum dum bok,,
you really think that some sunset and a lake are enough to compensate for needlessly torturing a 3 year old?
=================
amber e,
trials make us grow?? not really. your muscle analogy only goes so far. in real life, trial just creates empty shells out of human beings and makes them unable to laugh.
a human has to punish a child in order to make them into a better person. but that's just it. a HUMAN has to punish a child. that's because a human is not all powerful. if you WERE all powerful, then you would never once punish your child. you would just zap them, and turn them into better people.
you say you wouldn't, but you would. you'll say that something like that would take away our freewill, but that MAKES NO SENSE. the very notion that god created us with a certain type of brain would be enough to "take away our free will".
the truth is, there's no such thing as free will,,, not the kind you're thinking of anyway. our actions are governed by our beliefs, opinions, and preferences, which are in turn governed by the brains we are born with and the experiences we have, both of which are beyond our control.
you said: "We cannot know the absolutely wonderful until we know the absolutely miserable"
this may or may not be true. one thing is certain though. if there IS a god, and he truly IS all-powerful, then he could show us the wonderful without ever having to show us the miserable. if he's all powerful, then he could do ANYTHING, including that.
======================
the_pretty_o, you said:
"this world is not perfect, do you think it is? and is it God's fault that it isnt??"
uhhh, yeah. god controls everything, right? then i'd say he's the one responsible.
==================
hosting1,
who does cause hurt and pain then? the devil? well,, if god is so strong, then why doesn't he just kill the devil?? oh,, he will??? well what the hell is taking him so long?
========================
bills little, you said:
"whether you believe in God or not, gives you no right to take your issues out on others who believe in him."
you're wrong. bluud has both the freedom of belief and the freedom to speak it. does he/she (sorry bluud, i don't know your gender) tell you that you're not allowed to talk on a public forum??????
=============================
godsholyfire, you said:
"It would be a test probably for the parents. They might not be living right."
yeah,,, your god is awful if he kills babies to teach the parents lessons. imagine if our legal system worked that way. they'd never hear the end of it. and yet, this is actually considered appropriate behaviour from the creator of the universe?
======================
jbon634713,
you're right. we should let people believe in whatever they want. but bluud isn't taking away their right to do so. and WE should have the right to challenge their beliefs and try to make them think. christianity is a very backwards and dangerous mentality. those of us who argue against every day aren't doing it to exercise our tongues and fingers. you should read "end of faith" by sam harris. you might be surprised at how harmful christianity is in ways you never even imagined.
=========================
wolfpup, i have just 3 questions for you?
1. if the child didn't deserve to be on earth, then why did god put him/her here?
2. do any of us deserve to be put on earth? why should some souls be shot straight to heaven, while others of us have to learn things the hard way?
3. why did jesus suffer anyway? i mean,, i've heard that it was so "god could know what it feels like to live as a man". but are you seriously going to tell me that god lacks the ability to answer his own question without doing an experiment first?? i thought he was all knowing...... ?
==========================
jbaluyut,
i don't think bluud is blaming god. i think bluud is trying to show you guys why there is no god.
==================================
scooter281, you said:
"The reason terrible things like this happen is not because God doesn't care. It is because this world we live in today is the dominion of Satan, and will be until Jesus comes back. "
ok,, well what's taking him so long then?
if god is all-powerful, then he has the ability to kill satan and save everyone RIGHT NOW. so why is he waiting???
if god is all-loving, then he wouldn't allow the suffering caused by satan to continue happening. so once again,, why is he waiting??
either he's not all-powerful or he's not all-loving. or maybe he's neither. or maybe there is no god.

turkey, you said:

what proof? tell me the proof now. oh,, and just so you know ahead of time, "sunsets" is not an acceptable answer.

emy_is_crazy2, you said:
"He sent His only son to die a more horrible death then you could ever fathom even though He knew there would be people who would hate him."
getting nailed to a cross is not the worst death ever. plenty of people have suffered MUCH MUCH WORSE than jesus ever did.

It is possible to believe in God and still be mad as hell at God --have a look at the Psalms. These people were pretty blunt in their observations about God's failure to come through.
There is a time to be angry and a time to mourn.
This is where you are at right now. So grieve and rant.
Don't try to figure it out now. You can think about all that later--and there are many books you can read that try to make sense of all of it. For now, though, it does not make sense.
So... do the work of anger and of mourning--you don't need to think about worship and praise during this season of your life.
My thoughts are with you.

whether you believe in God or not, gives you no right to take your issues out on others who believe in him.
As for your question... well if there is a God... maybe he is testing you? To see if you can work through your anger. If he is.... i don't think your passing the test.
Bad things happen all the time. People die, people suffer, buildings crumble, and yet life goes on. If you are having such issues dealing with your anger, maybe God is not where you should look right now, perhaps a psychologist would serve you better until you are rady and able to deal with this terrible tragedy that had hit on your life.

I know something is going on with you and the 3 year old. I'm sorry you're hurting.
As for why, well right now that child who died is in heaven. He will never be sick again, never hungry, never cold, never neglected. He will never grow up to learn hatred, prejudices, greed, lust. Maybe its possible that child would have grown up and suffered even more horribly than he did now. Maybe its possible that child would have grown up and become separated from God.
I don't know the answers. I wish I did and I have more than a few of my own to ask God when I see Him. For now though I have the same questions you do.

He didn't give you a sick life. The Bible says that Jesus came that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. Trials and heartache are going to come your way no matter who you are, Christian or not. The difference is that when you reject Christ, you have no one to carry you through those hard times. You have to make it on your own, which is impossible. He never promised that your heart wouldn't break, but He does promise that He will mend it again. But He can't if all you do is react in anger and reject Him. If all of our suffering ended when we got saved, then why would we need faith? Why would we need God? I'm speaking from experience. I lost two of the most important people in my life within 6 months. Is that "fair"? No. But did God see me through? Yes, because I let Him. There were days I wanted to kill myself, but He saw me through. He knows your pain, why don't you just lay your broken heart at His feet, ask for His help, and see what awesome things He can do?

you only make the life you lead. as for the three year old GOD had plans for him/her. maybe to let you know that he is there and to make you think.. im no preacher but i go to church and and i read the BIBLE and maybe you should to. or go ask a preacher why this might have happened. the one good reason is that he does exist and the proof is all around. iknow that there are troubles and pains all around this world but you have to make your little piece of your world the best you can do. praise GOD and he will let you see that you are wrong. there are reasons for everything and you know this. ive lost both my parent to terrible diseases and i didnt lose my faith. so dont lose yours and if the child was yours i offer my condolences and keep the faith GOD bless you

I can't blame you for being so upset, it is terrible to have to watch an innocent baby suffer and die. Remember though we all die, wasn't your life just that much better in knowing and loving this child? You will be together again when it is your time to leave this world. I'll pray for you and some day you will stop being angry with him and thank him for allowing you the joy of having this child in your life if only for a little while. Peace be with you....
