Why do I always have a hard time falling asleep?

Stress, boredom, laziness during the day, lack of sex (if of age), old bed, no bed, snoring partner, fire trucks sirens, ambulance sirens, financial worries, mid-life crisis, lack of exercise, lack of walking, not drinking enough water, too hot where you live, too cold where you live, always trying to understand the universe, wondering when you close your eyes if death is like this, fear of the dark, fear of the night, drugs, prescriptions, medications, constant wondering what's new on Yahoo Answers, saw "an inconvenient truth", counting endangered species instead of sheeps (you'll run out)...

A lot of people say that when men wake up with a hard on its cause they have to pee BUT i read somewhere that is not true cause if that was the case they would get hard during the day too when they had to pee lol. I read this on a website so apparently its true.

your mind probably wanders. What works for me is...concentrate and try to thin k od absolutely nothing for 2 minutes. YOU CANT DO IT. One of 2 things will happen. Youll get distracted and start thinking about something, or youll get so bored youll fall asleep. It works pretty well, but its hard to get good at. Good luck

Try watching tv until you fall asleep. That's what I do. Otherwise I think too much.

Are you thinking too much? I used to have a huge problem getting to sleep, especially when I was a teenager. Tonight I couldn't sleep because the water softener hasn't been working and I was thinking of ways to correct it. Turns out the GFI was tripped. It bothered me so much I had to get out of bed and reset it.

Try to clear your head before you lay down.

Maybe you eat before you go to bed. Or have too much on your mind and can't clear your head. Or maybe you're just an insomniac.
