id sit down and talk there's no point you having a go at her even if your feeling terribly insecure with your girls comment.
its not her fault ask her what she thinks about that and that you feel for her being in the predicament .
tell her you need to know where you stand and she should think about it . the odds are because you've handled the situation like a man and with kindness she'll want you .. good luck. trouble is if she wants her x theirs nothing you can do about it ! let her go , you cant make someone be with you and eh you tried and it obviously wasn't meant to be ..

I know this question is probably geared for guys but from a womans pont of view, there will always be that horrible gut feeling at the back of your mind that she would be thinking that maybe she hasn't got over him.
Ex's are so for a good reason and why then would she be with you? He can't have her its as simple as that. If she has children by an ex it does cause problems but she wants to be with you. Its not such a bad thing to feel slightly jealous but you she is with you and not him. Trust her in the knowledge that she loves you and wants to be with you too.
