I think that depends on location. For example, in the L.A. CA area, the desired image is thin and scrawny looking (for gals), so the fasion around here tends to be skimpish and even a little slutty. But when I was in Memphis, TN earlier this year, I noticed the girls were not as revealing. I'm going to guess that it has to do with southern values? Sorry for the ignorance but I did notice that striking detail. In my honest opinion, I think the little old-fasion type doesn't hurt. But the media are too strong, and guys want to the modern HOT stuff.

Depends on the girl.. Some girls just don't look right doing the conservative thing. Some girls look hot in that regard.
