Pre-sweetened Kool-Aid in a plastic jar makes 2 gallons or 8 quarts.

if the normal size plastic jar you are talking about that is an average 2 quart container, you will need 4 quarts to make a gallon and a gallon serves 16- 8 ounce servings (16-1 cup servings) figure out how many vbs children there are and divide by 16, the answer is how many gallons of kool-aid you will need to make. remember each gallon needs 2 pkgs of kool-aid and two cups sugar.

hope this was helpful.

I did this. It's 2 packs per gallon, but what they don't tell you is to add a bit more sugar. It tastes really watery if you don't add about 1/3 to 1/2 cup extra according to your taste. I used to make it by the gallon all the time for my boys in the summer. As far as the plastic jar, if that's already got the sugar added, read on the jar for mixing proportions.

the small packet should give you a quart or two. the large plastic container would give you a few gallons because i think theres sugar in it already.
