I almost gurantee this will work:If you stand outside of your place while the garbage men are coming down the street,and if you have cold soda's waiting for them and the driver...you'll get that thrown in there...especially if you give them the soda's and tell them you wish to throw the can in there yourself.

You could bash it flat and put it out.
Why don't you try to give it away. It sounds useful to me.
