I have the same camera and I actually did this myself. As long as you erased the memory card and did not actually reformat the card, you should still be able to get the images back. There may be free programs out there, but there is a program called Photorescue that I bought (see website below) that worked beautifully. You may have to fool around with the settings to get it right though, sometimes it needs the right values typed in to work.

Here is a step by step memory card photo recovery tutorial you can follow to recover deleted formatted pictures.
Step 1. Download and install asoftech photo recovery software on your computer system.
Step 2. Take out memory card from kodak easyshare cx7430 or other digital camera and usb device and then insert it to desktop/laptop PC card reader slot, or connect the sd card to computer with a usb card reader. Then note down the drive letter assigned to camera in Computer explorer (usually G: or H:).
Step 3. Open asoftech photo recovery program and select the digital camera drive letter, and click "Next" to start scanning for lost media.
Step 4. When complete, you will see lost files recoverable. Select the files you want to recover and click "Recover" button to save recovered files.

They are all wrong, We have image recovery software by Promaster, Lexar, and Sandisk that recover images from a memory card. BUT you must not use that card until you recover the images as new images will corrupt the location of where the deleted ones are.

I feel sorry for you, because sometimes we accidentally erase some of our favorite pictures, but I do not know of any digital camera on the market that has a back-up file for erased items like a computer's "recycle bin", or "trash"; therefore, any erased item including pictures or short video on the camera once erased is gone.

Nope, if you delete it, it is gone forever. I wish there is like a 'recycle bin' on your PC. But there is none.

The image recovery software is for pics. that were corrupted or damaged for some reason. All is not lost at that point so, the software will help recover it. But if you deliberately erased it, and started taking more pics., then you have lost it.

it is not possible, once u delete off a memory card, it is gone forever. the same goes for a computer, well, once you delete from the recycle bin...though on computers, data files and such which are deleted can be recovered through other means, pictures, sadly, can not.

Unlike computer on cameras you cannot get deleted files. If there was anyway we would tell you. Trust me, i've done it plenty of times myself. My adivice is to wait until they come out with time machines then go back in time and fix it. =] I hope they wern't that important, though.
