I would say about 10 p.m. because most people should get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, so if you get up at around 6 a.m., this should be adequate. (When you get older, it seems you NEVER get enough sleep!!! Really ironic!)

Well, I'm now a sophmore and I'm 15 and I never had a bedtime. I had a computer in my room and tv and everything and I never had to go to bed at a specific time, just whenever I felt like it. They didn't really care as long as I was getting up in the morning for school and got acceptable grades. I personally think a "bedtime" for that age should at least be 10.

11 o'clocl is reasonable.
8:30? Are you serious. That's ridiculous. The kids I babysit who are like 10 go to bed later than that.

If your mom sends you to bed early when school is in session she is not being over protective because she sends you to bed at 8:30p.m. Ask her if you can go to bed at 9:00 p.m instead. You need your rest. You don't want to fall asleep in class. When school is out ask to go at 11:00 p.m

I am 16, and my parents let me stay up to 9.30 on weeknights and 10.30 on Friday and Saturday.
Until I was 14 I had to go to bed by 8.30
