my great grandfather came from italy (calabria) about 50 years ago. is there a place in italy one could go and find information about relatives in that country? perhaps a site on the internet?

my father and i are from calabria reggio,my family came to ny and there is a website called elis island immigrant info and may help you find what other last names are related to you but no other family info just history. thats a hard one i often wondered that myself that would be neat im sure they would think that about us too. good luck

I too am searching. I found a site called ancestors.com. But it ends up being a pay site. I was able to find a bit of information though..good luck.
