You're going to need some protein in there. Make sure if you're doing salads, you're either adding grilled chicken or beans and rice or -something-. You need to do some serious digging when it comes to weight loss to do it in a healthy manner. Don't cut out everything but those two things from your diet. That'll only make you more eager to go eat junk. Eat a variety, but eat things like grilled chicken, don't add that extra hunk of butter to your corn, try to avoid candy as much as possible (once a week is alright, but no more). Excercise. Walking for 1.5 hours a day will do wonders. And that'll all you have to do. Eat healthy and walk. Simple.

I'm trying to lose weight, and I'm averaging about five pounds per week, but I'm eating healthy food. Eating salads is great, and you should probably have at least one a day, with lots of raw (preferably organic ) vegetables in it. And rice cakes, maybe one a day, are fine. I can eat two a day on my diet if I want (I'm involved with LA Weight Loss). But if you try not to eat what you need, your body will say'hey, she's starving me, I had better hold on to some of this fat' or something in that idea. You will lose weight faster, if you just watch your amounts per meal, and eat healthy (fruit and vegetables) food, and instead of meat, try tofu. I'm a vegetarian, and I've learned to love the stuff. You have to know how to fix it (get a good cookbook or go online and get some recipes). I can have four vegetarian yogurts (two proteins) a day on my diet. Silk yogurt, or Soy yougurt is really good, and you're getting your proteins in. Concentrate a lot on vegetables - broccoli (raw or cooked); spinach salads instead of lettuce (more filling); fresh tomatoes and cucumbers (doesn't that sound yummy in this summer weather?). And at least two fruits per day - honeydew melon, strawberries, cantelope. And you could make smoothies with soy milk and fresh fruit that are absolutely delicious. Good luck! Karen

This site has everything you need to know. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way you have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) soon surpassing hunger and infectious disease. So you are a victim of this pandemic (epidemic).
You need to re-learn how to eat. Find out about fastest way to lose weight, slow ways to lose weight, most effective exercise and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Learn everything on site below so you can understand how food and exercise affects your body. Do this and you can be thin.
Do this not, and you will remain part of the biggest pandemic in all of history. Due to this pandemic, for the first time in 100 years, the children of Americans have a lower life expectancy than their parents. Plus click on "Pure Water" to make sure the water is not hurting you.

it is not possible to calculate how much u will lose as it depend on many factors like normal activity hormonal status but the question is how much you want to lose u can calculate that by
body mass index= body weight/ length (meters)2 *100
if the result more than 30 that is obesity
if 25-29 that is over weight
if 18-24 normal
in addition you mention what u wana eat .and it did not contain any source for iron which could cause you anemia or make it worse if yo already have one
thank you

I don't know about that but it seems to be a yo yo diet depending on your moods. I know i have a wife. Anyway, if you want some permanent change consider Dr Shari Lieberman "Transition Lifestyle System", because it incorporates both diet and mental exercise (will power) with the help of a journal and maybe some friends. Email me and i can send out a pdf file on the fabulous programme

You will lose weight and lose muscle tone by not eating more nutritious foods. eating salad is not all that nutritional.rice cakes are good for you. you need vitamins also especially for calcium and vitamin c. protein also . you don't want to lose all the nutrients in your body which you will by just eating salads and rice cakes, your body needs extra nutritional things if your body is being deprived from what you are eating. to be healthy and look good and feel good inside and out.

I ate salads without dressing and reduced the amount of meat I ate to three times a week. I replaced the protein with tofu for the other days of the week. I ate three main meals and two healthy snacks. I completely cut out mayonnaise. I lost three pounds in one week and dropped my cholesterol approximately 63 points.
Plus, my doctor told me vaccuuming burned about 250 to 300 calories and gardening and dancing.

I think you would lose a lot of weight. And then as soon as you ate anything the weight would come back and bring friends. Get serious and just cut portion sizes and exercise. Drink a lot of water or a no calorie drink.

You won't lose fat, you will lose water. Your brain needs at least 500 calories a day just to function. If it doesn't get it, it will send your body into Starvation Mode, meaning your body's metabulism will sllooowww way down and your body will hold on to every calorie it gets.
You are far better off cutting out junk food, and eating a balanced diet of roughly 1200 calories a day.
