3 years gap is not a big difference...age doesn't matter so don't worry.

While 3 years is not too much of a difference in general, I think 16-13 is a big difference. Why is a 16 y/o boy getting interested in a 13 y/o girl? What does he see in her? A 16 y/o boy would usually want to have nothing to do with someone 13 years old, and would deal with other people his age.

Think, your sister is still at a little girl stage, while this guy is going through (or about to go through) hormone rage fueled puberty.

At age 13, a 3-year difference is too much. A 16-year old boy is much more biologically mature that most 13 year old girls...a friendship could be very real, but not a dating relationship. Tell her that she can see him only in the presence of other Friends. Otherwise, she is just asking for trouble which she will be sure to regret.

12 and 15, 13 and 16, 14 and 17 are a bit of a stretch since a lot of growin happens in those three years. Beyond 15 a 3 year difference is OK though. 16 and 19 is nothing...

To much of a difference. If I were her parents, I would monitor it, and never leave my daughter out of my site. No car dates. And he would not be allowed to come every day of the week. Twice a week, at my home. If they want to do something there must be a chaparone. If he is willing to put up with MOM then I would know that he truly cares for her. Still, I don't like the age difference. 13 is too young. Now I could handle 16 and 19 much better.

You would have to wonder why a 16 year old boy is dating a 13 year old girl and not someone closer to his own age. Can't he get a date with a 16 year old girl?

a 3 year age difference is ok but when you are like 19 not 13, she will have a lot of relationships, this one will not be forever or work out so she should just chill and be friends with him or shes gonna get hurt

Because she is so young i wouldn't say it's OK. any other time fine, but she young, even those who are strong, in hot moments can make mistakes. At 16 he's at a more advance desire level than a 13 year girl is.

peace

At 13 a 3 year diffrence is not too good. He has already matured and is probably looking for more than your sister should be willing to give.

normally I'd say 3 years is fine for an age difference.......but 13 to 16 is and important age gap at that age!!!

you need to tell her no. They would not have anything in common. Not a middle student or high school student.
A 13 year old do not need to be dating. to me she is too young. At least date someone her own age.
