if the battery is reported to the school then yes it'll be reported to the police. its zero tolerance. its against the law.

With zero tolerance policies any act or threat against a student or school employee by any person (another student, teacher or parent) must be reported to law enforcement regardless of whether or not the victim desires to press charges or not.

Yes, it is mandatory. It's a part of the "zero tolerance" policy. Schools don't want to be held responsible for another incident like Columbine.

I believe so, but if the victim wants to press charges, the school must get the police involved. If this is the case call the police and school superintendent yourself.

I haven't been in high school for over ten years, but when I was a kid if it was just a fist fight, then regular suspension was given.
