The SCAM with the puppies from Africa has been circulating on the net for quite awhile.
They have you send money then tell you the dog got stuck in some country during inspection and they need more money because the paperwork is missing.
To avoid SCAM
Insist on a phone number in the US.
Get references with phone numbers.
Get several current pictures, tell the breeder how you want the dog to pose, or what color blanket you want it to be placed on.
That will prevent them from stealing a picture of someones dog and saying it is theirs.
Ask for a copy of their health guarantee, and a copy of the registration application.
Ask for the phone number of their vet.
Be sure you follow up with the references and check with the vet.
If it is a scam, after the request for phone numbers you will probably never get them to respond to you again.
EDIT
GetEmGang you are such a turd, and I would email you and let you know but you wont post your contact info.

Why would you need to adopt a dog from Nigeria? There are a good plenty being killed in a shelter near you.
They eat dogs in Nigeria, why would someone want to send one for adoption, when they can take your money and eat the dog too?
Please use better sense. Or I could sell you the Golden Gate Bridge for really cheap.

Goodness, sounds like a scam to me. Remember those three guys from there who just got busted scamming people out of millions? They sent out those e-mails saying that your rich uncle or somebody had died and they needed $100,000 to help them get out the $1,000,000 that belonged to you. I got one of these and so did one of my friends, then I heard about it on the news several days ago. Anyway I would recommend you adopt from a local shelter, then you will be able to meet the dog before you take them home. Always best to go where you can meet a dog so you can get the one that you bond with. Go with whoever snatches your heart with a kiss or look. Then you will be together furever. <

OK...here's an easy way. If it's on-line,IT'S A SCAM!!! NO REPUTABLE breeder would EVER sell a dog on-line.
