You are doing very good by eliminating religion. To accept God as the creator is not good enough. You have to believe and trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you on the cross. He died for your sins. He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. Religion is when you try to good things to please God. Grace is when God does something for you. The Lord Jesus Christ die it all for you. Salvation is by grace through faith. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

sure. actually it is probably preferable. I know my old pastor from my old church used to say that religion is a bad word. You can be Christian without religion. to many people do bad things in the name of religion, not truelly of GOD.

Christ told us He came to establish His church and He commanded us to "Hear the Church". He gave His apostles and their successors the power to "bind and loose". All the early Christian writings will tell you about the authority of the Church as handed down by the apostles.
