Can you give an example?

I do not want links. That's lazy and someone else's answer.

Other than the first person, I have not seen any other examples with bible references.

To Earl D:

If you use salvation as a "Get out of jail free card" you miss the whole point and most likely don't truly believe.

If you truly believe, your name will be written in the book, so it's one in the same.

Yes, salvation is that simple. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. We just have to accept that gift.

Jesus says to come to him like a little child. Children just believe and don't mess around with all the doctrinal garbage.

For a long time, it was thought that Proverbs 26:4 and 5 were a contradiction.

"Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you will be like him yourself." 26:4

"Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes." 26:5

These two verses are the reason it took so long before the councils could decide whether to include the book of Proverbs as truly inspired and canonical. And they are even adjacent, and probably from the pen of the same writer!

If the second part of each verse IS ignored... it does appear that the two verses directly contradict each other, But if the second part of each verse IS NOT ignored... it is clearly seen that there is a time to answer a fool according to his folly and a time not to do so.

Proverbs 26:5 indicates that it is an acceptable method of correction to show a fool (the word means a person who is lacking in moral direction) the logical results of their proposition. If they can understand that their belief reduces to an absurdity, they may accept correction.

Proverbs 26:4 warns us against accepting the premise of an unbelieving person without moral direction as correct. This may lead us into erroneous thinking and moral confusion.

Generally speaking, we must consider whether a person is being sincere in their questions, or if they only intend to mock. Nothing is too much to give in the way of reasoned points to a sincere questioner. But there is no point in discussing things with someone who only wants to mock.

Ultimately, only God can tell what is in the heart, and there will probably always be some who will lead us on, pretending to be sincere, and then go away and tell their friends funny stories about us. And there will always be some who are sincere, and we can have the privilege of leading them to knowledge of God and eternal life in Christ.

jesus said: why do you say i am good? only god is good - here he says he is not god, and is not good - here he also says that only god is good, meaning that nothing else is good, but god says the creation is good [genesis]

if god is good, he cannot create anything not good

isaiah 45,7: i [god] create evil [trouble, disaster in other translations]

exodus: god hardens pharoah's heart, which makes pharoah not let the israelites go - god does it so he can show off his plagues, which he calls 'glories'

there is a 19th C book that lists 500 contradictions, 200 doctrinal contradictions

the bible was written by intelligent people, but is read by less intelligent people - there is not one passage in the bible that hasnt had a controversy about its meaning - millions of commentators have tried to explain what the bible is saying - and few have agreed

they say god is infinite, but if god is infinite there can be nothing but god - infinite means unending - if there was anything that was not god, god would have to end so the other thing could start

but god is existence, aka life, reality, everything [bible: god is I AM, ie, his name or nature is to exist, he is existence, wherever you see existence, there you see god] - but christians believe that there is something besides god - but then god is not existence and god is not everything and god is not infinite - so the christian god is finite, which is an idol, which is breaking the first commandment

also if god is allpowerful and allgood, there cannot exist evil - god cannot be allpowerful and allgood at the same time, or evil would not exist

All sorts of contradictions. Especially between the disciples.

But, this one is interesting. Jesus first says to turn the other cheek when struck. Later he orders his disciples to sell what they have and buy a sword and take it with them, after previously telling them to go out into the world with nothing in their pockets, nothing but the clothes on their backs and shoes on their feet.

Look it up yourself!

I think I understand the contradiction, but it nonetheless exists.

The Disciples also tell us that those who believe in Jesus basically go to heaven and have everlasting life, let in Revelations it clearly states your name must be in the book of life, otherwise you don't go to heaven. This leaves a lot of open ground.

If it were as simple as believing in Jesus, then why read the rest of the bible? Why go to church? Just believe and YOU ARE SAVED, no IF ANDS ORs or BUTS!

You got a GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD!

You think it's all THAT SIMPLE!?

What happens if you believe in God and Jesus and your name ain't in that book? Then what.

Does that become the ultimate contradiction?

The answer to this question lies on the day of reckoning! Then we will find out for sure!

Yes, the two creation stories, were humans created before or after animals?

Genesis 1:25-27

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image.... So God created man in his own image.

Genesis 2:18-19

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

There are a ton more.

I challenge anyone to give me a contradiction in the King James Bible.
The 2 creation stories is WRONG... there are not two creation stories, they are 2 accounts of the SAME creation. God later makes each animal in front of Adam... This would make sense, because then Adam could SEE that God was Almighty. Otherwise Adam did not see God create anything.

There are many sites out there that debunk all the supposed contradictions (including the Pi)

History of any kind is never without contradictions. Overall, though, the events of the Bible have stood up to historical scrutiny and have proved a fairly accurate account of the events. The message is there to be read all the same.

those who have nothing better to do than God-bashing always find fault with God's word. If you choose to believe the followers of the occult. Then yews they will show you what they believe.
Stay away from those who find fdault with the word of God.
Another name for the Bible "Jesus" and Satan is working
alot of overtime to disprove God.

I've never found a single contradiction in the bible, and I have read it from cover to cover repeatedly.

Those who find such "contradictions" are simply looking for a scapegoat from the responsibility they have to give it any serious attention.

There is not a single contradiction in the original languages of Hebrew and Greek. Minor problems have arisen here and there in some translations of these texts.
