I agree. You won't find a "good" movie editor that is free. If you really want one that is easy to use, has a great amount of features, and isn't too expensive, check out Pinnacle Studio Version 9 or 10. It is a great program and can be purchased with the hardware to input all of your home videos onto your computer to edit. $80 will get you the program and the hardware. I've been using it for years and could not be happier! Check it out:
