God is the creator of the universe and all things. Genesis 1:1 God created the Heavens and the Earth. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. His name is above all names. Jesus Christ is God incarnate. God is Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, one in three and three in one. He is the Great Shephard, the Great Provider, the Great Healer, the Great Priest. God is a product of the imagination, created (consciously or unconsciously, collectively or not) for the purpose of guidance, stability, and self-esteem.
Guidance: Most belief in a God centers around mandates; some very simple, some very complex. Personal problems and questions are easily resolved and create contentment.
Stability: Belief in a common God give communities roots; personal resolutions integrate flawlessly with the community resolutions.
Self-Esteem: Believers feel that they have a purpose, and by carrying it out they are doing God's will.
These qualities of religion can be considered illogical, but not irrational.

God is the formless, genderless, omnipresent, eternal energy source which is the process of life itself.
Not a being, or an old guy with a long white beard and flowing robes sitting in a throne in some heaven in outer space somewhere.
We are each an individuation of God, created of the same matter as God. Together we are the sum (son) total of God.

There is nothing more satisfying than to know God in a personal way. God loves you and gave His Son to die on the cross for you. He gave His life as a divine sacrifice that you might be forgiven of sin and have eternal life. Jesus said, "I am come that they might have [eternal] life" (John 10:10b). This is God's free gift to every one of us. The Bible teaches that we are all sinners (Romans 3:23) and deserve the penalty of sin, which is separation from God. When we realize that our sins separate us from Him, it is our privilege and responsibility to turn from sin unto Christ in true repentance, with faith in Him as Savior and Lord. In taking this step we become a part of God's family; see John 1:12.
To receive Christ as Savior is a transforming experience. Not only do we gain a new dimension of joy, peace and purity, but we find all things become new; see 2 Corinthians 5:17.

God is the great I AM. He's a father to the fatherless, a mother to the motherless, a doctor, a lawyer, and a friend. It's really cool that you want to know who He is.

wrong question, more like, what is God? God is the creational force of teh universe, no one clear being, impossible to look at... impossible to truly understand. God's power/body is the universe.

Whatever you want him to be. If you don't want to believe in him, poof. He's gone. If you want to invision him as a person, pick man or woman and that's what you'll see. If you see him as like a mist, an aura-type thing that is everywhere, voila. Any other interpretations? If you think he's a bottle of water and want to worship that, go on ahead. If you believe something, that's where your truth lies. Don't go believing in other's truths: it's something you have to find out on your own.
