Most people never really find love one time in their life time. They think they do but all they really find is someone to fill a need .I was lucky enough to find love twice . Once I was married for 20 plus years to a woman who gave me some wonderful children and a lot of love. I as well as her let this slip a way. I then met a woman who I felt a strong love for and it grew and grew but we never got it right and tonight after talking to her I realize I lost her too. We are both sad about this. So other than asking a question I just want to make a statement. If you ever find love or even if you think you do hang on to it with both hands as tight as you can because it is the most precious thing that you can ever have in life and only good can come from it.I'm going to miss my G/F.

i , never have dated before, can not say i have been in love. i'm 16 and people wonder why i've never dated before. it's not that i dont like guys, i do. it's tht seeing what love can do if it's held on too tight is what ruined my life. ironically its what created me too. my mother had my brother and she was going to raise him on hre own and not tell my dad, but her love brought her back. then it was my turn to keep the love going. they thought another baby would stop their intense arguing but it didn't. they truly loved eachother it was the fact that they loved eachother too much that lead them to divorce.

six years later my mom not having been on a date since the divorce meets an old friend from highschool who had asked her out before but she refused. six months after this reunion, they're married. both afraid to be lonley and forcing themselves to love one another causing the aggravation from their fails to be put on me, by slappings and wrongfully charged groundings. and as for my dad. i hardly see him and he lives 30 km away. he has a new gf now and i beleive that thepain from his last marriage makes him hurt whenever he sees my brother and i.

therefore i completely disagree with you sir. i am glad that you have found love before. but my personal belief is that the old cliche should be revised to state. it is better to have loved and lost than to love too long.

I agree totally. I let the greatest man I've ever known slip away 7 years ago. I was lucky enough to get a second Chance 3 years ago, but it didn't work out unfortunately. I had a child with another man and he didn't want to compete with it all. I still love him to this day and silently hold out and wait never giving my love to another in hope that someday I will get that ever so rare third chance. Believe me if I do, I won't take no for an answer.

dear stranger, I wish I had words that could help to heal you both, but alas, there are none.

I would like to say this: remember that we react to is not only fact, but fact surrounded by our feelings at the time, impressions of the environment that are in, and have been in, and all of our life's experiences. The "story" that we bring to the facts.

I have acted (fact) out of reactions to the "stories" more that once in my life... this last time I hope I don't regret. I can't take away the fact of the action. But I can learn from it. Hopefully I have caused no harm. Whether the love you feel is for a girlfriend, boyfriend, partner, spouse or friend it is still precious.

I would say to hold on, but loosely, because we all need space and air to breathe.

I'm very sorry your having such a bad night. I had found love and lost it too. Many years ago, but I was too young to realize what i had. So what you are saying is true Sir; when you do find True Love(the next time) I will hold on to it with both hands and both feet!

love is in the mind, its not possible to love someone forever, and not possible to give someone your whole heart. if you believe something is true and real, it will be true and real. so stop telling yourself you're heartbroken, we all feel hurt, we all rise above, or fall below. its your choice. if you choose to fall below, you may as well commit suicide, because life down there is $hit. take it from someone who's been there, and then some! accept what is as what is, its done. you should always re-affirm yourself that you are perfect and whole, and you do not need someone else to "complete" you. even though there are so many things that say otherwise, you are perfect. hope i helped, good luck & god bless! -jasmine w
