How funny you should ask this - I've had similar things happening lately.
In my case, I am always surprised because I seem to have bad memories of past friends, thinking I did something wrong - then I wind up chatting with them and during the course of the convo, I realize they don't know that I did anything wrong. In fact I didn't do anything wrong - they did something wrong to me!
I would definitely email your friend - and I have had some luck with this myself, though often it results in a great conversation, maybe even a second talk or email to really catch up, but then we drift apart again. We are all busy and have our own lives now. It's not like it was when we were in the same class everyday or lived in the same apartment building - you know?
Give it a try, but don't be disappointed if nothing comes of it. The important thing is that we try and reach out to one another. Who knows, in a few years they may need someone to reach out to and will remember your kindness. Perhaps you are destined to share a great friendship, but later in life.
Peace!

An email, depending on it's origin and end place, can take between 3/4 of a second and fifteen seconds to reach it's desired inbox. Which means she either has a new email address, or she doesn't like you.

She's right, I went on Myspace and looked up some friends and just found a way to at least say hi. I was surprised that some actually responded back but I was glad I made some type of connection again. I was waiting to exhale...i don't know why i said that but it just seems like the right thing to say....didn't you see that movie...waiting to exhale....

Forget email, too impersonal. At the very least call. If possible, face to face.

It takes about 10 seconds to send a e-mail...........
Start by sending her a nice e-card, and then work your way up to e-mailing her a note.
Here are some great free e-card sites:

I think it can work, if you explain yourself, and be honest.
Good Luck!
