i asked nathan if he liked me and he says he loves me as a person. i guess he didnt understand what i was saying.and he asked me if we were ever going to see each other. i said maybe. and he huged me twice

It means he's being honest with you. You aren't girlfriend material at this point in his mind. At least he isn't sure enough to declare that. He's saying he wants to continue seeing you and wants your friendship. This is what true love develops from. Thank your lucky stars that you've found an honest trustworthy buy who likes and respects you.

Well if he said "I love you" then that means he likes you and probably wants to date. If he says I love you as a person he obviously isn't asking you out but is probably wanting you to or may have hidden feelings for you. If he is a hippy then he loves you man peace.
