i ment to say yawns guys... ... i know.. i know.. i said it like 3 times in a row... but i ment why are yawns contageous.. and i gave the best answer to little bird cuz she put hearts in her answer... good going little bird!!!

Yawns ok!

Nobody knows. Science does not know why people yawn. The notion that it is to supply extra oxygen to the brain is proven to be utter nonsense- especially as the greater part of the yawn is the exhalation. It's been tested- there is no extra oxygen intake.

As for them being contagious it is true but again a mystery. An interesting fact however is that if you see a young baby yawn you will yawn as well but if the baby sees you yawn it will NOT. Apparently sometime around 5 or 6 months of age is when a baby will begin to yawn upon observing others do it... and only from that moment on do the parents have any hope of influencing the baby's actions/training it.

Yawnng is rather influential in emotionally inpacting the same reaction on another person.

THEY SURE SEEM THAT WAY. EVERY TIME SOMEONE YAWNS AROUND ME....AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...THERE I GO.
