If it is on the "pad", there is nothing that can be done by you. DO NOT WRAP IT!!!! People always wrap things too tightly and we have seen lots of dogs and cats lose their legs, feet or tails because people wrap them too tightly and it cuts off circulation. The dog will not bleed to death from a cut on the foot.

Wash it out, put some sort of medi-cream on it, wrap it in gauze or a clean rag. If it's pretty deep and needs immediate care, take the poor thing to the nearest animal hospital.

Hi,
Just gently clean it out with water and peroxide and try to keep clean until morning if you can. Stopping the risk of infection is the most important thing until you can get him to the vet.

He's a mammal too, so do what you'd do for yourself. Keep a compress on it if it's bleeding until it stops. Wash it good with soap and water. Put antibiotic cream on if you have it, or any antiseptic if you don't. Wrap it in gauze and tape if you have that. Forget bandaids -- he'll chew those off. NuSkin works good too but you have to hold him till it dries.

1st clean the wound, with mild soap and water. then a anitbotic cream like nerosporisn on the wound.
2nd how bad is he bleeding? Put an maxipad on the wound then use packing tape if you don't have any frist aid supplies around.
Don't laugh this really works I have done this .Then give him a treat. Hopefully this may help, till Monday.

Band-Aid makes 'One-Step Cleansing + Infection Protection Foam'
I've used this on both of my dogs for various scrapes and cuts. As long as it's not a huge gash, this will work fine. Otherwise, just rinse it with antibacterial soap, as you would do for your own cut.
