Bono, please explain to me why rich people like yourselves who drive in fancy cars and live in huge houses, tell people like me who make minimum wage and cant even afford to pay his rent on time to help make poverty history. It seems to me that maybe you should give up all that you own and save millions of life’s with your valuable things and then come and talk to me, a guy who has a family and cant afford to the bread. Bono I know you want the Nobel Prize so do us all a favor and stop telling us what we can do and maybe ask yourself what you are not doing.

Bono has the ear of world leaders on this subject - he has worked tirelessly on this problem and deserves better treatment than he gets from you all. How is it you people are just making minimum wage? Have you got a criminal record or something? Can't pass a drug test? Questionable character? Almost nothing pays minumum wage anymore. Quit whining and pull your head out of you butt so you can see whats going on around you.

So now americans are crying they can't aford to have a baby? Bono is doling his bit. When Africans cry, help us get multinationals off our backs, who are looting our continent dry, what do Americans say, "to hell with you africans!". Now don't talk of your being broke dear Amrican--You supposed to be all millionairs. if not,, ask yourself why? Why are you crying about basic necessities of life? Sit down and ponder that. I have aways told Americans, MNCs are cheating you. In no time they are shifting and outsourcing and you will see real wage going down followed by unemplyment. Then hell wil break losoe. You ain't seen nothing yet. And you have extended everyone's patiience Zero sympathy for you. May you live in interesting times.

I agree. I can bearly afford to raise my kid alone, because child care is so damn expensive. I gave up my entire year bonus from work to help with the relief effort in New Orleans, and was then called a racist because I didn't give any more. I'm through with charity. Bono can suck the sweat off of my frothy working class balls.

What was that Jesus said to the rich merchant? Give up all your posessions and follow me.... then he said " it is easier for a camel to pass through th e eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.. Move over camel boy, I wanna be rich like Bono, even if we have to roast together...

As Bono's bug-goggles, you have no idea how badly I have been waiting for someone other than me to say this. My blog http://360.yahoo.com/bonosbuggoggles pretty much does, but Bono doesn't read it. : (

People like Bono have selective hearing when it comes to being challenged about his vast wealth. Just think how many lives he could save if he sold his ocean-side mansion? I thought this is what it was all about, saving lives. Heck I cost $500! How many people in Africa could he have fed for that?

You make some good points, I will have one of my admin contact you. Maybe we could see about getting you job as a groupie. don’t forget we can eradicate poverty in Mexico by importing it to the US. Also don’t ask what Bono can do for you ask what you can do for Bono.

How do you know he doesn't give enough to help? Don't attack him...the message is to the people who can actually afford to give out a few dollars here and there...and anyways...don't blame Bono...blame the stupid *** government who's wasting our money on the stupidest things and ignoring the important things.

Sappho--Bono is the lead singer for the rock band U2. If he was an addict and maintained his lavish lifestyle, we'd probably love him. At least he has the ear of many heads of state. Good for him on trying to do something.

you make some points but are missing the mark... Bono does give some amount of the money he EARNED by his own labor ...to charities and when he is making pitches he is aiming them at the other millionaires on the planet more than at poor ole Joe Schmoe ... true he could give more but so could allot of other people.

While I don't know who Bono is, nor his status I agree with the person that posted this question.
