I REALLY like this guy I met in Vegas 6 weeks ago. We had 3 dates in 2 days there. He was working and I was partying with my girls. He wanted me to meet him there 2 weeks ago but I was packing to move cross country to NYC, where he lives, too. I really like him and want him to be my boyfriend so I didn't sleep with him so he didn't think I was too easy and lose interest in me too fast. I thought we had a day date for today but he was still at the beach. He called tonight and asked me for drinks on Wednesday. I said ok, then wrote him I'm busy and can we go for dinner on the 29th because I'm busy. I am busy, but I really don't like the drinks thing - we're past that - I want his undivided attention all night. Why is he asking to go out for drinks - because it's more convenient and non committal? (He had a party on the 4th and didn't invite me.) Is asking for a date 3 weeks away too much when trying to play hard to get? I've been burned in the past by being too available.

I think you need to chill a lil, don't over think things. Try to go with the flow, cuz if you put too much pressure on him he might just put the breaks on the whole thing. Just try to be his friend, very flirty friends (no benefits) though lol and let his actions guide you some

You're burning yourself by thinking about this way too much. Do what comes naturally. The guy invited you for drinks, you rejected the offer. You offered the 29th for a date. Did he accept? If it doesn't work out, then it simply doesn't work out. I'm sure you're a GORGEOUS woman who can have any hot guy. If things don't work out, move on (and I mean that in a positive way).

Don't play the games. Just be confident. Be open. I love women who are open, confident and honest. Drinks can be good or bad during the first part of the relationship. Drink in moderation. This helps relax the two of you. Don't drink too much though!

Guys's perspective: Do not play hard to get. Show interest but not over interest. Play it cool.

Good luck!
