No, I think the fake red (or shade of red) looks pretty bad, redheads have a skin tone that just makes the color look good on them. Just like I would never dye my hair jet black - that would look stupid.

Probably. Auburn hair is pretty. It sort of depends on your skin color as well. Why shouldn't you dye your hair? I'm 18 but I was dying my hair when I was 12... I've been dark blue, pink, black, blonde... you name it. Good luck with that. I also liked experimenting, but I let it grow back in and it's all natural (dark brown). If you look like me, yes you'd look good with a dark brown with a red tint.

I have light golden brown hair & I use L'Oreal Superior Preference in 6R Light Auburn.

I totally disagree with the poster that said it only looks good on natural redheads because of their skin tone. A LOT of total strangers walk up to me & tell me how pretty my hair is. I always laugh, thank them, & tell them it's dyed and most are very surprised and say it looks natural. Just don't get anything with a maroon tint to it, that looks awful on everyone.

Try the new L'oreal color pulse mousse hair colors. They are super easy to apply and wash out after 6 to 8 washes, so you can try a new hair color before you settle on one. You can buy them at local discount stores for less than $5.00 and they come in a variety of shade. Best part is the have none of the harming chemicals that dry or damage your hair.

Use henna. Its cheap, and it will blend with your hair. It also washes out gradually like 6 weeks. It also super conditions your hair!
