I work full time and have kids which makes guys think all I am good for is a play thing. So does anyone know how to meet a good guy if the internet is so dangerous. It isn't like I have extra time to go out and meet them in a traditional way. And it isn't like I am not attractive and fun to be around and easy to get along with

K. I changed the nickname part. it is not normally 69 it is 1969 so I hope this helps clarify a little. I have doe the volunteer thing, kids sports, and all other ways to meet people just not a lot of luck. Maybe it is because guys think I want a daddy for my kids. which is not the case. I would like someone for me to hang out with. so next idea please.

Me,

Speaking for men in general, I'm a little taken aback at your premise. I think if you look, you will find a lot of guys in the same boat...divorced, working full time, and with kids. Personally, I think you will find there are no more guys who think of you as a plaything than when you were single.

You are correct - the internet is a dangerous place, and there are always wolves about, so care is necessary.

There is no shame in putting the word out to your girlfriends you are available...nothing more than that...simply available. Make time to go out with friends after work on a Friday night...spend time at your kid's soccer games.

You will be surprised just how many single dads with kids (even if for every other weekend) there are in your area.

If you are into this sort of thing, you can also volunteer...pack up the kids and spend an afternoon helping to build a house, or pass out drinks for the 5K runners...lots of opportunities out there. The key is to put yourself in a position to see and be seen.

Anyway, good luck finding Mr. Right.
C

ok...first of all ...don't take this offensively..but your screenname is "me69" anything with 69 or sex or anything pertaining to sex...will definitely give men the wrong idea. are you possibly coming off in a sexually flirty way...instead of a friendly flirty way? Does sex or anything sexual get talked about when you meet these men or go on dates with them? Maybe they feel like your just as interested in them like they are in you. Please don't take this all the wrong way...just use it as a way to reevaluate your behavior and maybe try a new approach with your new prospects. Good Luck!!!

it is all in the approach you use..I have dated many women with children...some of them come off like that is all they are looking for is a good lay...and others are moreinto finding a guy to connect with...so it is up to you to setthe tone..be upfront when you meet a guy....you would be surprised I think these days the woman is more likely to be looking just for good sex then the guy..look at the questions on this site, many women looking to leave their man over sex

Check with www.lds.org and go to the directory to find a meetinghouse in the city where you live. They have excellent singles programs and many elegible guys. You don't have to be LDS to use their services or attend their activities. Give it a try.

If I knew where the good men were, I would be there right now instead of sitting here answering questions.
