I am a guy with very thick, straight hair. I like to keep my hair fairly short but it seems like it grows so fast I am at the barber every 2-3 weeks...

Not the electric trimmers..The plastic combs with the razor built in..I just want to know if they work.

I have used one for years, but only on the very back/bottom of my hair to thin it out between cuts. It would pull and hurt if you tried to use it on thick hair on top or on the side of your head.

Try having your hair cut shorter than normal one time, then have it cut every 4 weeks. See if you're happier with that.

But trimming the back and around your ears will make a lot of difference. Shaving your neck, very carefully, also helps a person look like they don't quite need a full haircut just yet.
