It is according to size, type of wedding, formal or semi-formal or casual, does the church have fees, and a hundred other issues! I did a wedding for my daughter on Jan 1. and her brother was getting married on Dec 29th, the same weekend-a holiday weekend! Funny thing was I didn't know that my daughter was getting married but she decided to while her brother was home from the Navy! I was making all the flowers for his wedding and doing Christmas, etc and had 4 days to get her wedding arranged and done. We borrowed a formal gown, had 3 attendants each, candle lighters, ushers, the whole wedding party, I made the entire decorative flowers and her bouquet and decorated the reception and church, she actually had a nice shower but I didn't do it, my sister makes professional wedding cakes and gives them to family for their gift( thank goodness!), her husband wore my son's dress suit after he was through with it from his rehearsal, etc.,we had a rehearsal for her also, and I did her total wedding for $150 ! Her dad was happy and gladly paid half but I should have charged him for some labor!! It was a very nice wedding and no one would have believed that I did it for so little, except those who know me! I love making and designing and I am great at last minute things! If I had more info and if your location has similar costs, I could help. But the average nice wedding here runs several thousand and up! Don't spend the $20,000 or more on a wedding! The wedding a joining of love, not a fashion show! Use the money for a good down payment and furniture instead!

about $1000-2000. it can be cheaper if you have family/friends that will do the flowers, food, and have a big backyard for the wedding. u can print out your own invitations and such. use fake flowers for everything. if you just have a tiny reception(snacks and punch) after the wedding it will help save money. my aunt eloped and just had a reception w/ all the friends/family to celebrate. there's a ton of things u can do to make the wedding gorgeous, yet affordable by doing most of it yourself.

my wedding was a nice one not to extravagant but had all the trimmings, including all the smoke pots for the reception 120 people and all night service atthe bar 20,000 this did not include the mens suits, shoes and accesosries for the men but all the rest? when people say 2000? how are you supposed to get a dress for 2000 and pay for a celebrant and reception? its not possible but you two can elope which will only cost you 500 and it still means your married

it depends on how many you invite and how top end you want to go. Figure overall per-per-person (not just reception) 225-250 per
person.
