I don't want "nothing" as an answer, I don't want anyone asking me to follow God, I am a devout Catholic, I am good to go for that...I want to know what scares you, I plan to write a book about ghosties and demons, but I want to know what will scare you, so that you open your soul to not the book, or the story, but you own mind, your own imagination...Please, no dumb answers like a zombie duck, and I would love for you to share personal experiences, just e-mail me with them. And btw, don't tell me they don't exist...they do, whether you believe in them or not...Contact me if you have questions...And now, What scares you the most about ghosts and demons?

I said no answers that said nothing....i don't care who you are, if you are a human being. You are imperfect, and you DO fear something. You fear, but you have faith, which guides you. but you still have fear.

You should not fear anything but God. Matthew 10:26 & 28 "Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known." 28 "And do no fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Fearing God doesn't mean being afraid of Him but revering Him in order to turn from evil and not perish. Proverbs 3:7 "Fear the Lord and depart from evil." Put your focus on God because the devil was defeated at the cross therefore if you are right with God you are free from sin and fear. "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:34 The Word of God is true and also, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3) Therefore I truly do not fear anything but God. God Bless.

There are several answers that I would like to give. I do believe these phenomena exist, but...
1. The first thing about demons and ghosts that concerns me is it seems that some people are very quick to blame Satan or demons for wrong-doing...suggesting that some behaviors are caused by demons, that Satan influences people to make certain choices, etc. When this happens, I am concerned that personal responsibility gets shirked. In most cases I feel that our shortcomings, sins, less than honorable behavior needs to get pinned where it belongs --on ourselves.
That said, there does appear to be an extremely rare incidence of something that appears to be demonic or of the spiritual, "ghostly" realm that can be disruptive in people's lives. These occurrences should be carefully investigated and discerned with those with expertise in the matter before jumping to the conclusion that forces of evil are at work.
2. I have found the TV program "Ghostly Encounters" to be well-written and believable. If you have not seen this program, here is a website: http://www.wnetwork.com/tv_shows/shows/ghostly_encounters/
3. I would also say that I have more fear of what I call the "forces of evil", consumerism, materialism, excessive consumption of scarce resources and the inequities of the distribution of wealth, opportunity and resources in society.
4. What scares me most? I think what is the most scary is that we don't have a lot of objective, well documented information about the spirit world. I hope your book will make a contribution in this area. Best wishes!
PS I forgot to mention I did have a strange experience in which I was standing on my grandmother's porch with a bunch of family and someone was taking a picture of all of us. I stepped into what I thought was a good position for the photo, but someone behind me shoved me rather roughly more closely to the person beside me--I turned around to complain, but there was no one there!!

I think we all fear the unknown. Some make fun of it, some show false bravado but if we believe in God, why not ghosts and demons? Faced with the possibility we choose to think of them the way they are depicted on television and in movies.
The most scary demons are the ones that walk among us, the rapists, sadists etc. They don't turn into monsters but are born with the monster inside them. The monster is human.
Ghosts are a life-force and are more of a fear than demons because they are not of the living.
We fear what we don't know and can't control which is why we are afraid of death in any form.

With ghosts--they are just rude--most of the time it's not because they intend to be--it's just--they don't know where they are--they're kinda wandering around and they don't know the time or where they are and they think they're still alive and they know they've left something undone and they're not quite sure what that is --and they just kinda wander in on you--like unannounced and stuff and kinda look at you like your the one that's not where you need to be and it's just rude
With demons--now that's an entirely different deal---these guys are up to NO GOOD-- I mean these dudes KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE AND THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE DOING AND THEY SIMPLY DON'T GIVE A RAT'S BUTT ---these guys don't do any wandering around at all--they just go where they're headed and you better pray you ain't there when they arrive---when they come in--and they look at you --YOU know that you're not where you need to be---and there again in it's own way---that's rude !!!
All things said and done---I hope you make some effort in your book to give some kind of overleaf advice to these entities to be just a little kinder and more considerate if they intend to be accepted in polite society in the future--(but I'd be real diplomatic about the way I brought up the subject with these demon dudes--they get really touchy about advice and they're kinda hands on when it comes to showing their dissatisfaction )

the thing that scaresme the most is that knowing that theyre real and that they could be standing next to you but you not be able to see them. Another thing that scares me is that demons have something to do with the devil. The thing that scares me about ghosts is that some are good and some are bad and if you encounter one you wont be able to know if they are good or bad untill they do something. A cousin of mine has just died yesterday and im a little afraid because he died on a motorcycle brining his son a medicine for his fever and he got and an accident on his motorcycle and was in a coma for a month and to me thats sounds like unfinished buisness and they say that there are ghosts because ghosts have unfinished buisness to do.

Unfortunately i agree with you. They do exist and what i fear the most is feeling that there is something evil and yes i have faith but i can still feel that evil spirit coming closer i can feel them close to me, i can feel the hair on the back of my head rising because i get so scared but then faith gives me the strenght to get my self together, but many times im sorry but as much as i believe in God i feel so scared. Scared of i really don't know what, i guess i'm scared they are going to start talking to me, wanting to touch me, wanting to take over my body, i guess i've seen many scary movies, lol. But i've seen many thing that are not funny at all we have had to sell a home because of paranormal activities. I strongly believe that there are evil spirits, good spirits, and ,mischievous spirits. I know i have dealt with all of the above, After i got married and moved away, i feel at peace in my home, but when i go visit my parents i can feel that dark shadow taking over their home, you can literally see shadows in their home. By now everyone still living their have gotten used to all this but i will not visit for too long, I live only 5 minutes away from them and for this reason sometimes i only visit 3-5 times a month, i do feel that sometimes they follow me, i know you probably think i'm crazy but i really am not. I am very open minded and i really believe in this. I wish you the best of luck with your book. I guess i told you a lot more than what you wanted to read, i guess i get so into this. well c-ya.

I am a spook freak! I think the house that I used to live in was haunted. The scariest part is the feeling that someone is watching you. I would be scared out of my mind if I actually saw a ghost (not just an orb...that's way to vague for me) or witnessed an action by a ghost.

ghosts i do not really get into, therefore i don't know if they exist, but i don't think they do. demons, yes, i know they exist. if there are angels, there are demons. as odd as this might sound to you, i'm going to share something with you.
i'm sure you've read in the bible about the spiritual gifts, right? well i have the discerning of spirits gift. i've seen and heard demons before. i've told them to be gone in the name of Jesus and they left. so i'm not scared of them. that is my story and i'm aware my answer is "nothing"...but at least i had a story to go along with it.
take care and God bless you!

Having experienced ghost and demons,I've seen them and touched them. What scared me the most was the possibility of me getting hurt by them. I saw one person thrown down a flight of stairs. I know a couple of preachers who do exorcisms. To hear them talk about that is really scary.

I hope this does not sound like a flippant answer. It is the oily/ evil/ feeling that demons leave behind. Ghosts, don't scare me that much. I lived with one for several years. Feel free to email me for more explanations.
