how long do you have to wait to get medicare after being declared disabled?

Medicare is for people 65 and older. Medicaid is for the other stuff, and IM not exactly sure how long. IM sure too long, it always takes to long when you need the help.

I had to wait 2 years from the time I was declared disabled.

My hubby had to wait two years..
