Wolves don't have any one particular meaning or even significance in the Christian religion. However various sects and families have adopted the Wolf as a symbol of various attributes that they believe it represents and / or embodies.

For example the Dracula clan adopted the wolf as a symbol of strength through unity, if I remember that correctly.

However you are not really worried about wolves in religion are you. You are concerned about the issue of Lycanthropy.

As in the Gypsy Woman's Poem:

"Even a man who's pure of heart
And says his prayers by night
Can become a werewolf
When the moon is bright and
The wolfbane blooms at night.....:|"

Yes?

Well, Lycanthropy is a real disease, although its not the same thing as what you see in the Lon Chaney Jr movies. People simply develop a fixed delusion that they are turning into a werewolf or that they have turned into one. It is frequently combined with a bodily dismorphic perception disorder in which the person thinks he see's himself turning in a werewolf.

If you are having repetitious dreams about werewolves it means one thing. Something is bothering you in way in which you are being deeply frightened. Its possible to be frightened of something so much that you don't admit it even to yourself.

You need to determine what that is and eliminate it from your environment. Until you can do that, do the next best thing. Surround yourself with positive images. Watch positive movies. Shun negative things. That will go far into eliminating the dreams. Perhaps not instantly but over time. Give it two to three weeks because dreaming works in cycles of two to four weeks. Memories. emotions, people, events and impressions that you experienced in your life frequently show up in your dreams for as much as four weeks post experience. And of course particularly significant events can show up for life.

Nevertheless, were I you. I'd put down the Bell, Book and Candle and pick up a positive book or watch a positive feel good movie, perhaps a comedy, or even a Western. Then I'd go to bed and forget the whole problem.

In my beliefs, animals represent certain actions and feelings. In this case they are considered totems. The wolf is a powerful totem animal. In reality wolves are very social creatures while maintaining their individuality, and prefer intimidation to true aggression. As a totem wolves teach us to develop strength and confidence in our decisions. Wolf usually comes to us as a teacher and pathfinder. Since wolves are showing up in human clothes in your dreams, look around you. Don't be afraid to look to your friends and family for guidance. Good luck.

Not everything has a spiritual connotation, sometimes a dream is a dream.

Sometimes it can be your sunconscious feelings, fears or desires that you are afraid to express in your waking hours.

Next time you have the dream take note of the people, do you know them? Are you in a stressful situation where you feel you have to watch your back? are you in new/uncomfortable surroundings? These are all things to consider.

The wolves in sheep's clothing are the spiritual leaders that lead the flock astray. They surround you, but you don't know it consciencely. Your sub conscience is showing you the things around you through your dreams.
I had to leave the church to find the Way that Jesus teaches. The church will teach you less than Satan knows about the ways of Jesus, I assure you.

i do not know what they may represent religiously. but i have had similar dream experiences. People turning into things that destroy. i would venture to say that you have been burned by people who you thought were not capable of burning you...and now you are subconsciously wondering who is the next one that will betray me...seems simple enough of an explanation but sometimes the simple and most obvious are the ones that should be given the most thought....

In the bible it says that be ware of wolves dressed in sheeps clothing. What its talking about is that somthing could look harmless but really be harmful. The wolf is somthing somthing that is very harmful in your life and the sheeps clothing is whatever it is trying to hide it.

Sometimes wolves are just wolves. You might want to try a dream dictionary, they analyze certain aspects and are quite thorough. You might also want to try this website, it lists alot of different animals and their symbolism.

Seriously, you may have been watching too many horror films. I don't believe dreams mean anything. Relax, wolves are just wild dogs.

In Christianity, they represent false teachers who want followers. They care nothing for God's "sheep." They infiltrate a congregation and destroy from within.
