The fact that the antenna is located near the electicity input to the house should have no affect on reception. However, the installer should guarantee good recepttion and should not leave until that is accomplished. It is possible that the antenna is not in a good location, but that has nothing to do with the electrical box. The installer should come back and do something about it, either find a working location or raise the antenna or try a better antenna.

One more thing: can you rotate the antenna? If the installer didn't bother to check the signal, your antenna may not be pointed in the right direction (the best direction is not always pointing toward the transmitter). If you can, try rotating the antenna while having someone look at the signal

No problem with electric cables , pointless asking for money back , may not be installers fault that some chans are poor, ask the installer dude if he can suggest a better antenna or maybe a mast head amp to take care of poor channels.

what kind of question is this? Do you want someone to tell you that he should have installed it somewhere else? Why did you pay him in the first place if you didn't like where he put it?
