Best Buy has saved my files from my old computer but when I try to open up the saved file on my new computer, it says:read only file.

If changing it to not be read-only doesn't work, then try looking at the file permissions under the Security tab. If there is no security tab, boot the computer into Safe Mode by pressing F8 on a reboot and then try adjusting security settings on the properties.

save the read only files as a different name, then open them again. u should be able to edit them

Call Best Buy. Depending on how they saved them and how your computer is set up, there might not be a way to convert them.

right click on the file name, click on properties, go down to where it says Read only and uncheck that box.
