We are only a little over two hundred years old, still in diapers compared to our European grand parents. Yet, we have the worlds most technologically advanced and most powerfull millitary, we have the largest GNP on the planet, we give more foreign aid than any other country on the planet. We are the worlds leading super power.
As for as Iraq goes, we have messed nothing up. We removed a sadistic dictator from power, removed a threat from the region and are well on our way to establishing a democracy in the middle east. If you look beyond the bias of the media and get the real story on Iraq, you cannot argue that Iraq is a falure.
Many mistakes were made after hurricane Katrina. I lived through it. Although the federal governments response in New Orleans was too little too late, the seeds of the humanitarian disaster were planted by local politicians poor planing and response.
We are still very much a super power and will be for a long time to come. And, when you need help we will most likely be there, regardless of what you think of us.

We do, I was a proud US citizen, however we are a disgrace to the world, more people die in Iraq than ever before. Our army is a disgrace, uneducated and merely recruited in poor US neigbourhoods.
Our response to New Orleans was a disgrace also, so many needless deaths.
We should only interfer in other countries when there is a real threat. Iraq was not, evidence is clear, Saddam was a crazy man, but where do you stop, do we invade Libya, Iraq, Iran North Korea, Zimbabwe. The USA needs to stop wasting its taxpayers money on war, and give more to famine etc. Its our duty.
The american dream is a myth, our country holds only wealth, that alone. The grass aint always greener on the other side. From a disgraced american.
My country is a true disgrace!!!

Well, it is a typical imperial behaviour. But dont forget, history repeats its self, and all empires have fallen throughout history.
Like at them...they are divided...and subdividing every day into smaller racial/religious/political groups...They are trying to get oil using all their means, and made every other country hate them...I mean just go to ANY country and ask an average person in the street what they think about the US...We all know the answer.
I just feel petty for the open minded Americans who are against this war and the government's actions...Their time is close...you seen North Korea and what they can do...now imagine what the Russians and China could do.

The US does need to take a long hard look in the mirror.
We've got a lot of problems and this country is working its way down the tubes.
It's not going to help us too much in the end if we are trying to fix the rest of the world while letting ourselves fall apart.
Frankly, I think the US government needs a revolution...

The United Stated is perfect in every way and has never made a single mistake, ever. That's because we know every thing, have invented everything that's good in the world, and damn near own everything. We also know everything that's going to happen throughout all of time, because we have a time machine.

And what country could have responded to a disaster the size of hurricane Katrina better?
I was in both Iraq and responded to hurricane Katrina. What have you ever done?

I agree. We should just pull out of Asia altogether and let the North Koreans and the Chinese come in and let the butchery occur all over again. Then at least we could keep some manufacturing jobs in the states.

You can blame George Bush and his band of war mongers. For damn near everything that has gone wrong and every failure that this country has had since the appointment in 2000

we just need to leave every country alone and deal with our own problems, and if all the other countries in the world would do that then it could work
