Actually, Genesis says that both man and women were created in the image of God.

Most Bibles have a translation error that that says "Let us make man in our image." Correct translation of the word adamah = creatures of the earth --it's a plural noun.

the thing about the ribs is an enigma. No one knows what valid reason that a woman would need an extra rib for, but we do know that women as a whole tend to care for themselves much more than males. All that showering and exfoliant and makeup and delicately different clothing make women stand out. Women make themselves look very attractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, isn't beauty just a label for an individual to describe what traits they find desireable in people, objects, plants, animals, sourroundings, and everthing else.

We are made in Gods image, but his spiritual image. This is just a body-a vessel-a 'jar of clay'. WE are liek God in the sense we have power to create and destroy, and we have freewill, and we have the some of the same emotiosn our father has like love.

Eve i think cam from more than just a rib, i think God took a bit more, i think God took part of Adams side. U ever heard the term 'better half'. But yeh Adam was made in Gods spiritual image. Man wasnt made for woman, but woman for man.

Eve didn't look like one of Adam's ribs and women look more attractive because that helps men be more attracted to them (so we can make babies!).

Women aren't "more attractive," really. That's a whole societal thing with how we view things. In most species, the male is considered "more attractive;" that is, usually the males are more colorful because they must attract females to mate. If you think of humans, and I mean without clothing or makeup, there is nothing more or less attractive about either gender.

Adam and Eve looked differently because one of them (Adam) was a male, and one of them (Eve) was female.

I figure that God knew what He was doing. I suspect that He made Adam in such a way that he was a visual person, and He had to make Eve appeal to Adam's visual sense.

He made Adam so he appreciated a certain shape, then He made Eve that shape.

God(capital "G") made Man after His own image. Man being Man and Woman.

The Woman is beautiful in a man heart - outward appearance is just outward appearance.

Genesis 1

26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [b] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
