Yes, BT's are excellent companion pets and are great with children. BT's are sturdy, have a fun loving temperament and can be quite entertaining. They can adapt quite nicely in a lively family setting.

My mom has one hes great. Just get you a female cause it will have a less chance of trying to be dominate esp if you bring in other pets.

My sister lives in an apartment in a city and has a boston terrier. 2 years ago she had a baby and their dog has been great with her. The boston terrier is a male. The baby likes to play with the dog and is even rough with the dog sometimes (pulling tail or an ear here and there). The dog has never snapped at her at all. He is smart and is kennel trained and lives with a cat. So I would tend to say yes that they are very good and happy to be around kids.

I have a Boston Terrier and I have two kids. I have an 11 year old and a 7 year old. I think that a Boston Terrier is perfect for a family. I wouldnt see any problem. the baby is definitly not going to hurt the dog and the dog wont hurt the baby as long as you set bounderies immediately and make it learn to not get into the babies face. Our boston terrier is nosey. she likes being in everyones face getting loving. that would be the only problem i see but like i said train the dog early and you wont have any problems. I love my Boston Terrier and I wouldnt give her up for nothing.

yes they are, if you get a boston you will love the breed forever. they are so funny, loving, loyal, playful, affectionate. I have 2 a male and female. they are like night and day though. my male is kind of shy and my female is a full blown tom boy dog! they are great. mine listen very well and seem to do well with cats in the house play wise but they doo chase my outside cat relentlessly.lol also they dont tolerate hot and cold well so they are definetly an inside dog. get you a puppy or two and enjoy! good luck

They are wonderful!! We've had two and one is still around. The other got stolen. Our recent one never attacks anyone unless someone was trying to hurt us. They have so much love and energy to offer and ours loves to play with toy ropes. They are easily trainable, too. Ours has lived with us since the kids were 5 to 20 and is very loyal. I strongly encourage you to get one, or even two!

YES...I have a three year old and three BT's. They wait for her everyday when she comes home from school to play. They lover her and they are not rough. She can run around with them, which makes her day and theirs. They are the best dogs (in my opinion). They are very protective of her and they follow her wherever she goes in the house.

They are a good breed, but as with all dogs they have to get lots of exercise and learn patience with younger children.

They should be good with kids if the kids are good with them. Make sure you get one from a reputable breeder.
