When I first saw them , I saw 2 babies in the nest but aweek later they were gone.

Most birds stay in the nest somewhere between 10-16 days depending on species. If the babies were already 7 or 8 days when you noticed them...they probably fledged by now. It is coming up on the end of breeding season..so it makes sense that they are gone now. The only other thing that could have happened is the chicks were eaten by a predator in their nest before they had a chance to fledge.

Birds are naturally wary of people and animals. They don't want to draw too much attention to the location of their family.

birds only keep their young long enougt to teach them to fly.which is very fast from hatching. birds eat 3 times their weight in one day so must grow up fast not like humans.
