Once again I am sitting here reading an irrationally bias question. Sure some Christians may think that. Some non-Christians think that also. Therefore it is not a quality of Christians. I am a Christians and do not get special treatment nor do I think I deserve it. I am no better than anyone. When lumping people together be careful.

Because they are human. That kind of behavior is universal. I've spent a lot of years living in other countries and screams of "I can so do that, I'm an AMERICAN!" are why we are held in such low esteem in many places. England requires a helmet for riding motorcycles, Muslims demanded the law be repealed because it violated the Islamic law that they not remove the turban. Hispanics are demanding special privileged treatment in regards to immigration laws because of their ethnicity. Fundamentalist Christians demand privileged treatment in regards to arson and murder laws so they can bomb abortion clinics. People want the privileges of living in our great country, but they refuse to show respect for the rule of law that makes it great, and that includes, sadly, a great deal of native born Americans of all backgrounds. This, however, in no way means anyone should blindly accept the status quo, there are legal ways to protest and effect change, to quote a popular saying from the 60s: "My country right or wrong, if it's right to keep it right, if it's wrong to make it right." If someone disagrees with government policy they should speak out, I would hope they would, but the difference between legal protest and violence is the difference between patriotism and terrorism.

Well, if God is a "Christian" then it makes sense that He would give preferential treatment to those that are "Christians" Right?

The same way if God was a Muslim, He'd give preferential treatment to the muslims.

But, just for the record, most people who have followed Judeo-Christian teachings have been persecuted.
The inquisition, the Holocaust, etc.

But yes, everyone gives their own child "special " treatment if they behave.
And God is no exception to that rule.

We "Christians" have a special peace in our hearts and a special promise for eternal life...and so many other special promises too!

I have never thought that way, and those I know to be Christians haven't either.
Man will exalt himself above all else, that's true.. we're only human.. but are you sure that it's only Christians that you should be asking this of..
Many are still seeking the Lord, some are still learning to walk the walk (as well as talk the talk).. and some, are just doing the very best they know how..

Probably because many of the "Pulpit Pounding Prevaricating Preachers" keep telling them they are better than the "sinners" (and please give generously when the collection plate is passed), and since they are all "blessed by God" they get the feeling they are "special" and deserve "special treatment", to not treat them with the "honor" they so richly believe they have coming to them is an abomination to their God, and therefore they have the "God given right" to force their religion down the throat and up the butts on the rest of the world.

What makes you think that christians expect special treatment? How do you know who is a christian and who is not? Jesus certainly did not get or expect special treatment. .... I don't think the world in general treats me better because I am a christian. Sometimes it is the exact opposite.

I think most do not think that. I think most Christians think that each person is judged individually. But in direct answer to your question, I think that when people receive a little knowledge or understanding we have a tendency to begin to believe that we know and understand more than others. This is true for many religions, whether Christian or not. It is (unfortunately) human nature to compare ourselves to others and to try to find ways in which we are "superior". Of course all that really does is make us "less". Anytime you put yourself above God's other children we only succeed in diminishing ourselves.

There must have been a situation where you witnessed a person saying that they were a Christian getting "special treatment". What was, specifically, that special treatment?

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Definition of all...all(a): quantifier; used with either mass or count nouns to indicate the whole number or amount of or every one of a class.
No Christian thinks they should get special treatment...they are included in that verse too...
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Death row inmates should not be given special treatment because they are Christians. God forgives but people have to accept consequences for their crimes.God will help a Christian face death and take him (or her) to heaven. For a Christian death is not the end of life.
