I'm starting a new plumbing company and am looking for a turn-key bookkeeping/invoicing/database system. I don't mind spending a little, but don't have deep pockets and don't want to invest a lot after purchase to have it customized. Any recommendations?

Good Luck. There are the general purpose quick Books, et al, and there are the customized systems to fit a specific industry or market niche.

I haven't gone out looking for plumbing bookkeeping systems, so maybe you will get lucky. If there is anything truly professional out there, it will be expensive. Any freebies that are plumbing related will have flaws or missing functionality, or they wouldn't be freebies.
