I am happily married now.

But no, not even in any of my single periods, because trying to combine "benefits" and friendship just complicates things too much.

Yes I have experience the friends with benefits when I was 18-19 and it was fun. When really decide to get serious I dumped him as a friend and got a boyfriend. Friends with benefits is only temporary and soon as the sex dies down so should the friendship. Term should be called sex partners because once sex get in way of friendship's it gets complicated.

yes, I have.

In some instances it works fabulously. In others though be mindful of one party, or another, growing feelings that will get in the way.

It is a choice you have to make. Does the outcome outweigh the potential for a good friendship to disolve? Will it make things weird and uncomfotable once you do go down that road? Is the sex really worth it?

Be true and honest with yourself, make sure this is the sort of "relationship" you are really looking for. Or is this because you are scared of the emotional aspect of a real relationship, of being hurt again and think this is the best way to protect yourself and hide your feelings until you are ready to really try again?

No, I have tried it and it hasn't worked out. You start feeling things even tho you try to keep things sexual. Someone ends up getting a little hurt, and I want the whole package in a relationship not just a piece!!!

Been there done that. Problem is, you develop feelings in the end, if this person isnt responsive, you only get hurt. Especially when the benefits end, and their doing it with someone else.

Never. That always turns into something ugly after a while. At the least you end up losing a friend.

I have too much to offer than to participate in a pointless relationship like that! I just don't want to waste my time.

no. i've tried something like that and it hurts too much. i have never seen anyone do that without someone getting hurt, period. someone either falls in love or feels lessened or feels like a part of them is missing after. it really sucks.
