Chutie. It means "small" in Sinhala, and indeed she is!

I have two:

Pretty Kitty is a 9 yr. old tabby - she got her name because my grandmother called her that before we could think of another name and it just stuck.

Roxie was a stray cat that came to the house just last December. At the time the movie "Chicago" was on TV and the name Velma didn't fit her. The name Roxie is appropriate because she is a murderer - she has killed about a dozen mice, two squirrels, three chipmunks and two rabbits.

There was also our cat Inky (1991-2006)...she was the runt of the litter and was black with white on her paws, tummy, chin and a little on her face.

Black & White Persian:
Amazing Grace... (but I call her Gracie) because her mother refused to take care of her so for two months I took her to work and hand fed her and did everything for her. She was the only one in a litter of four to survive. I decided she lived only by the Grace of God.

Yellow & White Persian:
Gorgeous George...(I call him Gorgeous) because he was so beautiful when he was little everytime I looked at him I told him how gorgeous he was. Later coworkers of mine told me my male cats were going to have issues because of the names I gave him so I tacked on George. It just became his name.

Tortie-Point Himilayan:
Twinkle because her mother's name was Star and because she has twinkling blue eyes.

Blue & White Persian:
Mama's Boy because he is such a mama's boy. As a kitten he expected a complete body massage everyday when I came home from work. And bugged me until he got it. What a big baby!

Calico Persian:
Miss Meesha because I like it for some reason.

Well, we have 10 cats! Of course, they're all one big happy family.......not!

Kathryn "Katie"-She got the name Kathryn because she is very geriatric now(no offense to the older crowd:) She's a dark tortoise shell.

Thomas-Poor kitty has other nicknames too, but he's our beautiful tabby with white paws. His name came from the Disney movie "Thomasina" that one of my daughters just loved.

Tiger-she's our grey tabby, who also has just one eye. She had an accident as a kitten and lost her left eye (and a little of her mind too) She's a very loving kitty though.

Applesauce-our grey tortoise shell kitty. My 6yr old daughter was 3 when we adopted her, so she wanted to name her that, and it stuck.

MeMe-our other dark tortoise shell kitty. She was really shy when we adopted her and could only get her to come to us if we said "Meme".

Pooh-Meme's brother who is our BIG yellow tabby kitty. He got his name because his color is just like Winnie the Pooh's-hence his nickname sometimes "Whinny the Pooh".

Kit ton-she is our calico kitty who just had 3 babies a month ago. She likes to love on you; then attack you. She's strange, but we love her.

Then there is Linny, Tuck and Ming Ming too-Kit ton's babies. Of course, they are adorable. It will be sad to give them away, but they'll have to have new homes in the next few weeks.

Our happy little cat family!

I have two. My last name is Lancia so my first cat's name is Stratos after the superfast Lancia car. My other cat's name is Miscia because it means girl kitty in Italian, my first language.
