Jesus said that if we are thrown into prison - we are not to leave there until we have paid the debt. While the subject here was debtors prison (which we don't presently have in the U.S.) the same principle applies for crimes.

If we are to go free - it would be for God's good graces and he would make the way. We cant use Jesus as a literal "get out of jail free, card" as so many do. I've seen prisoners feign being saved, repentant and ready to save the world until the actually get out if the gates then they suddenly lose interest in the Lord.. not that they did from day one mind you.

We cant take God for granted nor can we use him for our selfish needs. We should praise God in our situation. God has freed many a sincere soul HIS Time, HIS way.

Some who remain till they die do so because God has a ministry or purpose for them being there. This brings equality and the false abuser is not as likely to abuse the system if he sees religion will not get him out.

in case you're a Christian, then they're one interior the same. you spot, Jehovah's Witnesses trust Jesus became easily a separate entity (as their beliefs are depending off Arianism) than God. maximum of Christian orthodoxy ought to reject this and ought to label something like JW as a cult because it deviates from church (maximum protestant and Catholic) teachings. Now, why do we trust this? some causes. There are references in John the position Jesus refers to himself as "i'm" in John 8 - actually employing the former testomony call for God as himself. He accepts worship from the blind guy in John 9 the position angels would not settle for worship in different passages. there's a lot to be suggested right here yet wisely to say, Jesus did declare to be divine and did declare to have dominion over nature (ex. calming of the storms), demons (Jesus exorcising the demoniac), or maybe the potential to forgive sins (see Luke 5 - which in ordinary words God on my own had the potential to do). Secondly, there are discrepancies between the JW translation and what are the canonical gospels. The canon we are able to hint decrease back to unique resources (i imagine the Sinaiticus is the oldest that i understand of). there have been hundred of translations and copies, to the point the position you could persist with the artwork of a translator about why they chosen the words they used to translate the script. In JW copies, you received't locate the names of the translators interior their pages. that's from a prohibition of stating resources from the Watchtower. If i imagine a canonical translation to be faulty, i will locate the translator and word the position he must be incorrect. that's the prospect of verification the position because the JW Bible (the hot international Translation) would not have equivalent verification. also, there are some translations which make no grammatical sense contained in the unique Greek. John a million contained in the NWT, as an celebration, is that this sort of passages. So, in Christian orthodoxy, the guy of Jesus and God the daddy are both aspects of the same divinity (i.e. heads of the trinity). i trust, and many different Christians trust, the canonical gospels to be a extra precise and extra straightforward representation of the reality than texts who state that Jesus isn't God. that is an same savior. So, asking this question to maximum Christians ought to a pretend determination.

I don't understand the question. Why would a person on Death Row receive any preferential treatment because of a change in religion? Did you know most people in jail and prison and rehab are religious? Besides, it seems contradictory for Christians to always claim that they believe there are no atheists in foxholes with the premise that everyone turns to God/god in their final hours. How is that any different than someone who has done enough harm to society to get sentenced to death? Wouldn't that person be more likely to seek out some kind of acceptance of anything that makes that process a little easier to handle? I'm not saying every Death Row inmate who turns toward religion is faking it, but I don't understand why that absolves them of their debt within the current penal system.

Before I get dismissed as a mean, heartless devil worshipper. I am actually an advocate for underdogs in many capaciities, one of which is prisoners. I have met many criminals and been inside jails. Nobody could understand the pain and sorrow that I've seen, but to generally provide a "Get out of jail free card" based on one's religious declarations, especially in the face of execution, is as far removed from separation of church and state as one can get.

And, unless you are willing to give the same treatment to EVERYONE who accepts some form of religion on Death Row, regardless if they accept your form of God/god, then it's just one more example of why many of us are tired of people claiming this country offers freedom of religion. Apparently, it's only free to be Christian.

No, the persons victim is still dead, we all live under three sets of laws The laws of God, The laws of man, the laws of nature. just because your saved does not give you the right to break laws or continue to break the law. After Jesus was baptized satan tried to get Him to step off a cliff saying that the Laws of nature no longer apply to him, Satan tried to tell Jesus Gravity would not pull to the earth hundreds of feet below. Jesus knew he could not step off and live. he would go against the law of nature and die Gravity would have derailed His mission.

If a 14 year old girl gets pregnant then accepts Jesus can she have an abortion. NO - will God make her unpregnant no - Why yes she is saved and forgiven but she is still responsible for her actions

If someone kills another human being then accepts Jesus they are forgiven but they are still responsible for their actions
(the laws of Man)

No , ... Because it says also... you must live by mans law as well as God's , and if it is our law that they are to be punished by death then it isn't murder...God new what he was doing when he said these things. So don't worry ..if you are still having trouble with this because of your own personal reasons then you should probably have a cleansing of your soul or spirit to help you accept what is to be God takes care of us in Every way... we just have to know and do what it is we need to do for Ourselves God knows this also...Remember he IS God..

What if the person was falsly accused just because they hated Him and his Father, would everyone one who votes and pays taxes and the Government i.e. Gods ministers be guilty of murder.i have no idea.It seems we could use some pharasees as an example though who also were Gods ministers, the ones that travelled land and sea to make disciples twice the sons of hell they were.Guess we will just have to wait until judgement day to see.

What difference does it make whether or not the person has received Jesus as their Savior? The belief as to whether or not it is wrong to put someone to death belongs to your heart, not theirs.

Wouldn't it be worse to put someone to death that has not been saved? If they are saved, then they will go to heaven.

Galatians 6:7

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Genesis 9:6

Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

Man has a body, soul, and spirit as God is a trinity.

Actually, I believe in 1 or 2nd corinthians, there is a Scripture that talks about this. I could be wrong though, maybe it's somewhere else. You could try looking it up. :) Wish I could have helped more, but I am unsure of the reference.
