2.99 is south jersey...5 years ago when I first got my license it was .89 cents so the price has tripled in less than 5 years...THAT's why Americans complain about gas prices. And to whoever said take public transportation...unless you live in a city it's not that easy. Trust me I wouldn't drive unless I had to but right now that's not an option.

Rogers Arkansas, gas in from 2.76 to 2.85 depends if you get gas by the freeway or in town. Freeway prices are always about a dime more.
And yes we know the Brits are getting ripped off for gas and yes you did the conversion correctly. But you poor guys are getting took all the way around so it seems. It is just taking the USA gov a little longer to rip us off. We are a little slower you know but we do have 5 times the population as you do too and we make 25% or more of our own oil and gasohol.

For everybody theat wants lower gas prices: Too bad, so sad. Take public transportation. Get a job that pays well. I fill up my diesel pickup and know its going to cost me about $100 in So Cal. Then I have to fill up the boat. I don't care. It's only money. Deal with it. That $5.00 cup of starbucks you are probably drinking every day translates into somewhere around $35.00 a gallon. Thats a lot of money for beans and hot water. Again, deal with it. Dig your own oil well. Buy stock in an oil company.

Waco, Texas and last time I checked, one place was 2.72 and the other places were 2.74 or higher. These high gas prices make it almost impossible to get from point A to point B without spending $40-60 a week.

i'm in Western ny too... and the day in the previous in the present day it became $3.sixty 9, yet likely went as a lot as $3.seventy one in one day and could be at $3.80 by employing the following day... it sort of feels to be jumping by employing a pair of pennies each and every couple of hours right here.... Which poses an annoyance to me each and each and every of the time.... the costs upward push and upward push yet they did not pay any extra for the gasoline it extremely is kept contained in the tanks underground... they don't get new deliveries daily so that they paid for it weeks in the past even as the cost became $one hundred/barrel, yet are charging the price that it must be in the adventure that that they had purely had a delivery at $one hundred twenty/barrel....

Texas and the reason prices are so high is that people insist on driving around in big suvs that use a lot of gas. They say they need them because they have kids, that's kinda strange because kids have survived for thousands of years without suvs

I can't believe americans complain about 'gas' prices.
IN THE UK A GALLON OF 'GAS' WILL COST YOU $7.00.
So stop moaning.
And yes I did do the conversion from litres to US gallons to dollars correctly.
