Depends if he will be tried as an adult or a juv, need a good lawyer to try and move the case to juv court.
If they talk him as a adult there is only one prison that people that age go to in GA and he does not want to go there, it is a bad place ( GA has some ok prisons but alot of bad ones, this is a bad one. But they keep those under 21 normally in this prison.
His age will have little to do with the case if he is tried as a adult, 5 to 10 years, most likley and have to serve about 1/2 if they stay clean and don't cause trouble when in prison.
But they need a good lawyer and show this person as someone that was used by an older perosn and got in with the wrong people and all of that.

I don't know what Georgia law states, punishments vary from state to state as do the ages of adulthood eligibility in trial. With that said, there maybe some discussion as to try him as a juvenile or an adult. His background will be looked into as well. His school, homelife, character, financial status, maybe employment record if there is one and such. This check will be viewed and will have some bearing on the sentencing, if found guilty.

Depends on whether they try him as an adult or as a juvenile. The degree of his involvement, whether he pleads guilty or not, how much was stolen and various other issues can also be factors to determine his sentence. It is a pity that so many of our young men find it necessary to turn to crime...such is life.
Advise your friend about the choices he makes and you be careful too. Making the wrong choice could have had you along with him. God bless you both and good luck to your friend. Stick by him not with him.

im 42 been to prison 3 times for bad choices-it depends on his role, if someone was injured, witnesses and his defense. See what felony class it falls in, if he needs to pay for his behavior but is basically good, he may qualify for probation. Observe and dont deny what his behavior is right now. To be honest, everyone deserves a chance but the legal system in America is not always fair especially crimes against persons. My best answer, and Im from texas, if he is worth saving and someone that loves him has some financial stability, hire the best lawyer recommended to you from word of month. (Criminal Lawyer)
In this country, its money that talks. trust me i speak from experience-im from texas and so is our leader. pretty close to his home town-everyone deserves a chance-consult with an attorney and do the best for the situation. I had to learn the hard way. if crime was serious, may try him as an adult. armed robbery is a serious offense-ill pray for the best for 16 year old in georgia-someone loves him or i wouldnt be responded to this question. Tell him JESUS LOVES HIM and a lady named dana in texas is praying for him email me if u need too nannieluvstrinity@yahoo.com best of luck

Jurors have nothing to do with sentencing. A judge will decide what that will be. And the DA and courts will decide if he is charges as an adult, I assume he would be.
He faces significant time if found guilty.

it all depends on several factors: The jurors, rather they try him as an adult etc. if they trial him/her as a juvinile he/she will probably serve a term upto his 21st bday if tried as an adult as long as the judge and jurors see fit.
