Religion to atheism yes. But don't call Christianity religion. Christianity is a relationship with the almighty God. Only a prat would turn to believe nothing when they have known God as a Saviour and friend.

People can go either way, but i have doubts about some atheists who claim not believe, how can some of these people go on so much about someone they don't believe in, why do they have such an interest, i think a lot of them are nor sure what to believe, so they call themselves atheists

Well people are titled to do with whatever they want to do it's sad to say even religons. People can say whatever they want to say so i'm going to do it. WHY would anyone be atheist (i hate even typing the word) Everyone has alot to be thankful for even the little things that where do they think there blessings come from i mean are you serious. Even if you r a certain religion i'm just curious what a atheist can say to convert you into one of them. It shouldn't be easy that's all i'm going to say.

No,
I haven't heard of anyone, but this is quite possible, and I am sure there will people who believe in one religion and in existence of a 'Super Being' and then converted to atheism.
The reason of such a disbelief in my opinion is the lack of understanding of Ono's own limitation and weakness of their own mind. People would try to prove / disprove the existence of God logically, and would since their mind could not comprehend the Entity , they could eventually turn to atheism. It is not possible to understand fully an infinite entity within limitations of our finite abilities.

People move both ways...
Some of the posters at this site state that they were brought up in a religion, but ended up becoming atheists (I presume that was due to the influence of other atheists)...
--
I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
For scientific and intellectual evidence for the existence of God, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.htm
For evidence for the historicity and truth of Jesus Christ, see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/jesus.htm
Cordially,
John

My ex after many conversations with his Catholic mother converted her to Atheism.
I myself half-swapped in that I went from Pagan (pantheist - ex Neo-wicca and former Wicca student) to Pagan-atheist through reading books on Sea of Faith Movement (Christian-atheism).

A couple of my friends used to be catholics and after about a year of discussing the issue from time to time they became agnostics and later atheists.

No the answer is because atheism is not a religion itself that means that just by not performing any ritual of whichever religion you are into that takes you out of it, and if you are out of that religion and not into a new one that makes you atheist

Your question is not correct. If atheism means non-belief in God, then some religions fall in the category of atheism.
An example is Buddhism.
